The church on Roman Road is well established in the area and has been serving the surrounding community for many years. We are a diverse group of people coming from all different walks of life and cultures. Together, we desire to share the love and story of Jesus with those around us while growing and deepening our relationship with Him.

As a church we want to connect with our community, make disciples and help them grow to the glory of God.

There is a long history of the church at Roman Road connecting with the community through children's, youth and outreach work.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in...

The one true God who lives eternally in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
God as sovereign in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
The Bible, as originally given, to be the inspired and infallible Word of God and so the supreme authority and reliable guide for faith and conduct.
The dignity of humankind created in God’s image, yet corrupted by sin and so incurring divine wrath and righteous judgement.
The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ – born of a virgin; fully divine and fully human, yet without sin.
The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
The bodily resurrection of Christ, his ascension to the Father, his reign at God’s right hand and his mediation as the only Saviour of the world.
The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ in whom we are created anew to do good works.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit, who leads sinners to repentance, and who lives and works in believers to produce the moral likeness of Christ and to empower them for ministry and witness.
The church, the body of Christ both local and universal, given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit’s gifts.
The personal and visible return of Christ, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and so inaugurate his kingdom in eternal glory.

We practise…

The Baptism of Believers, ideally by immersion, upon their confession of faith and evidence of repentance.
Regular Communion in remembrance of Christ to which we welcome the participation of all genuine believers known to be living a Christian life.
